AAMPACT industry initiatives Steering Group and project group Automechanika

At the end of November, the steering committee members of the AAMPACT initiatives "mein-autolexikon.de" and "Qualität ist Mehrwert" met for the 2024 planning meeting in Cologne. The aim of this meeting is to coordinate activities, measures and budgets with the responsible agencies. In 2023, further progress was made in campaigns and results improved. CGW, which is responsible for "Quality is added value", gained more workshops as newsletter recipients and the vocational school campaign reached over 5,100 trainees with teaching materials on quality products. The roadshow to garages was documented with YouTube video clips in which the workshop owners comment on current topics such as digitalisation, future challenges, skills shortages and parts quality.

The agency msh&more was able to report that “mein-autolexikon.de” now achieved 4.5 million visitors per year. This success is due to the relaunch of the site, the full integration of the topics of electromobility and alternative drives, additional new products and the textual revision of many articles. Many thanks also to Moritz Nolte for his professional editing.

The aim for the new year is to build on these successes in both initiatives. The focus will be on internationalisation. "mein-autolexikon.de" will soon be available in Spanish and we want to launch a quality campaign in Poland with a strong focus on garages.

The Automechanika project group also met on December 5th,  at the invitation of Messe Frankfurt. Together with the Automechanika team from Messe Frankfurt, the trade fair and marketing professionals from our member companies are developing targeted measures to increase the number of trade fair visitors from independent garages. A further aim is to encourage garages that are already at the fair ground to visit the spare parts manufacturers' stands in the East Exhibition Centre. In many cases, they only spend time in the halls of the workshop equipment suppliers. With the Classic rallies, the Mechanic Games and the "Happy Hour 2022", we have launched suitable measures for every Automechanika and, together with new formats from Messe Frankfurt, we will succeed again in 2024.
